The hall is has a 20 space private car park for use by hall users and other authorised vehicles. There are 19 standard parking bays and one accessible parking bay for blue badge holders adjacent to the rear fire exit ramp. There are two additional accessible parking bays for blue badge holders to the front of the hall.

Parking in the Hall car park is controlled, and signage stating the Terms and Conditions of use are displayed in the car park.

The Terms and Conditions of parking apply at all times. While there is no charge for parking for legitimate users, failure to comply with the terms of use will result in the driver being liable for a parking charge of £100.

Local residents and groups wishing to use the car park but not hiring the hall MUST contact the Hall Secretary for permission to use the car park in advance. Please be aware that permission is not guaranteed and if even given, permission will be conditional to ensure that hall users are not impacted.
Please note: Vehicles are left in the Hall car park at the owner's risk. The Hall management accepts no liability for loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents in the hall car park.
The hall car park recycling area is owned by the Hall but managed by Perth & Kinross Council (PKC). There are three bells for mixed glass and a bell for paper and cardboard. All recyclable material must be put in the appropriate bell. No items should be left at the side of the recycling bells, to do so is Fly-tipping.

If the recycling bell is full please take your items home and report the full/overflowing facilities to PKC. Alternative recycling facilities are available in Kinross.
The hall car park is also used by residents of Station Road to drop off their bins for collection on Thursday's and Saturday's. A new area has been allocated for this in the hatched area adjacent to the bin store used by the residents of Peat Gate. This is a new location within the car park, but in relocating this, an additional car parking space can be made available.

FAQS

Isn't this a council car park?
No the hall and the car park are privately owned by a Trust which is managed by the Crook of Devon Village Hall Committee for the benefit of the local community.
Is this a change in hall policy?
No this isn't a change in policy, as the signs on the front of the hall demonstrate, this has been the position since the hall was known as the "Institute". This is just a re-statement of those conditions and making them more prominent within the car park.

Why now?
The hall car park is increasingly being used for 24-hour parking, as a park-and-ride and by walking and running groups and others. The hall committee are responsible for managing this is a community asset, these changes in the pattern of use, can and do adversely impact on users of the hall and on the maintenance of the car park.

How are the Committee going to enforce this?
Firstly we hope we won't need to, and that by publicising the terms of use more prominently will help individuals comply with the terms of use. The Village Hall Committee will be monitoring the parking situation at the hall car park over the coming months and will if required take action to enforce the terms as laid out. They will also, if needed consider the introduction of further measures in the future.

Can I still park in the car park to use the recycling facilities?
Yes, parking for a few minutes to use the recycling facilities is allowed. There is a grace period of 5 minutes. There may be times when the car park is closed to non-hall users or for maintenance, at these times, notices will be posted and access to the recycling facilities will be maintained for pedestrian's where safe to do so.
